TUVALU – Marvel-series – THOR 1 oz Silver 2018
The 2018 1 oz Marvel Thor Silver Coin is the second issue in the Marvel coin series by the Perth Mint for the Pacific island of Tuvalu.
The limited-edition coin (only 50,000 coins worldwide) is the latest coin minted in .999 fine silver by the Perth Mint, Australia.
The detailed reverse design features a rendition of Marvel's iconic fictional character Thor, the Asgardian god of thunder. He is seen wielding his enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, which he can fight with and has manipulation skills.
Thor first appeared in American comics in 1962, during the Silver Age of comic books. It was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby. Thor is also credited as the founder of the superhero team known as the Avengers.
