How does the sizing work?

A floating frame is always made 1 cm larger than the canvas or painting, leaving approx. 5 mm space around the artwork for easy framing and positioning.

Example

For a painting measuring 50 × 60 cm, order a floating frame of 50 × 60 cm. The inside size will then be 51 × 61 cm, allowing the canvas to ‘float’ perfectly inside the frame.

Do I order the same size as my painting?

Yes. If your painting is 50 × 60 cm, order a frame of 50 × 60 cm. We automatically make the inside size 1 cm larger (51 × 61 cm).

Will my painting always fit into the frame?

Yes, thanks to the 5 mm tolerance around the edges, your canvas can always be positioned easily. The artwork will appear to float within the frame.

Can I order custom sizes?
