Grapes: 

The grapes—half of them fermented with their stems—underwent a four-day fermentation in traditional lagares, with periodic foot treading. The blend is composed of 60% grapes from mixed old vineyards (sourced from a Quinta do Vallado-managed vineyard in the Rio Torto Valley) and 40% Touriga Nacional from Quinta do Vallado. The wine was then aged for 20 months in stainless steel vats.

Unusually for a Vintage Port, this was not aged in wood but in stainless steel tanks. It certainly has preserved freshness in the black fruits, tannins and dense sweetness. The wine comes from old vines at Quinta do Vallado, giving density and a texture that demands long-term aging. Drink from 2030.
