Grapes: 100 % Baga

The grapes come exclusively from a north-facing vineyard at Quinta do Orgal, in the Douro Superior, and are vinified under certified organic practices. To achieve a delicate extraction, 20% of the grapes were used as whole bunches, while the remaining 80% consisted of intact, uncrushed berries. After a 24-hour cold maceration, fermentation took place over the course of a week with minimal extraction. Immediately following alcoholic fermentation, the wine was transferred to used 225-liter French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and aged for approximately 11 months.
