The creamy and juicy red 2022 Pintas Character was produced with field blends from old vineyards, fermented in lagar, foot trodden and matured in used French oak barrels for 18 months. Grapes: 43 year old vines, including Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Rufete, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Cão, Sousão and Tinta Barroca)
All grapes previously selected and de-stemmed were foot trodden in stone lagares during all the fermentation process (10 days).

Violets, crushed stones and subtle licorice on the nose. The palate is medium- to full-bodied and juicy, with succulent fruit, polished tannins and an elegant finish. This is made from different old field blends planted in Cima Corgo, Vale de Mendiz and Pinhao. Drink or hold.
