Add extra stability and rigidity to your frame with our centre braces and cross braces. Crafted in the Netherlands from carefully selected spruce, triple-laminated and 100% PEFC-certified (CU-PEFC-807830). The smart interlocking slot snaps securely into place — no glue or nails. Wedges are included free of charge. For square, tight assembly, use a rubber mallet.

When to choose a centre brace

For rectangular/elongated formats where the longest side is > 120 cm. From 50 cm upwards, our bars include a slot the brace locks into.

Example (centre brace)

• 60 × 130 cm → 2 × 60 + 2 × 130 cm + centre brace 60 cm.

When to choose a cross brace

For (near) square canvases with both sides > 100 cm. Two slotted braces interlock at the centre to form a cross, clicking into the frame and distributing tension evenly.

Examples (cross)

• 120 × 130 cm → 2 × 120 + 2 × 130 cm + 2 braces (120 & 130 cm) → cross.
• 108 × 150 cm → 2 × 108 + 2 × 150 cm + 2 braces (108 & 150 cm) → cross.

• Available up to 2 metres per brace; longer on request.
• Frames > 2 metres → we recommend a double cross (custom quote).
• Allow at least +5 cm canvas overlap per side beyond the frame size.
