Canvas size guidance
Allow at least 5 cm extra fabric on all sides compared to your stretcher size to wrap and staple securely.
45 mm vs 65 mm
From about 50 cm on the long side, choose your profile:
- 45 mm: for lightweight pieces typically shown in a frame
- 65 mm: recommended for heavier canvases or when displayed unframed
The thicker 65-mm profile improves stiffness, reduces sagging and gives a solid look.
