The wine's full-bodied spicy and nutty intense taste, together with the smooth texture, goes well with traditional Tawny dishes, such as not too sweet chocolate desserts. It's great for full-flavoured soft cheeses, but perhaps even more interesting, it can also be served with an aperitif accompanied by a fatty duck mousse or duck terrine with a little green apple fruit compote.
