A tasteful, slightly spicy red wine 
 
A unique terroir consisting of limestone and marl on the south and southwest, it is protected from the Atlantic winds by a mountain range, creating wines with a refined freshness. Quinta da Murta is far from the rolling limestone hills of the Bucelas region. It is located about 25 km north of Lisbon, in the Lusitanian basin, whose soils date from the Jura period. The soil consists of marlstone and crystalline limestone, with many fossils such as Trigonia, various oysters and shellfish such as freixialensis buchotrigonia and lusitanian anchispirocyclina. All this contributes to a refined minerality, with tones of shell and a subtle wine finesse.
