When to use a brace vs. a cross
- Centre brace for rectangular/elongated canvases where the longest side > 120 cm.
- Cross for (near) square canvases with both sides > 120 cm. For frames > 2 m, we recommend a double cross.
Centre brace: added stiffness for elongated formats.
Cross: two slotted braces interlock at the centre.
What is the slot?
3D bars from 60 cm include a central slot. Insert one centre brace or two slotted braces to form a cross. The connection works like a puzzle — quick, square and secure.
Ordering tips
- One piece = a centre brace. Two pieces = a cross.
- 60 × 130 cm (rectangular): 2 × 60 + 2 × 130 cm + brace 60 cm.
- 120 × 120 cm (near square): 4 × 120 cm + cross 120 × 120 cm.
- Canvas overlap: at least +6 cm per side beyond the frame size.
