Francesco Silver Mirror – Italian Baroque Mirror

The Francesco Silver is a generous Italian Baroque mirror with a richly decorated openwork frame. Elegant scrolls, leaves and classical ornaments surround the entire mirror, giving the Francesco its distinctive decorative character.

A distinctive feature of this version is its warm silver colour. The frame is finished with silver leaf imitation metal and then subtly patinated with umber. The dark, warm brown umber accents remain particularly visible in the recessed areas of the ornamentation, while the raised areas retain their silver sheen. This creates a beautiful contrast and adds extra depth to the richly detailed relief.

The umber patina gives the silver a warm, subtly antique appearance without making the frame look dark. Depending on the light, brighter silver areas alternate with softer, warmer nuances. This artisanal play of colour accentuates the scrolls and ornaments and gives each frame its own character.

The mirror frame is made of wood and originates from Italy. With a frame width of 13 cm and a depth of 3 cm, the Francesco has a substantial decorative border that creates a striking feature in both classical and modern interiors.
