Subtle, stylish and timeless: the Carlo mirror in silver was designed in Italy with antique mirrors as its inspiration. The silver finish gives the classic design an elegant appearance. A very subtle champagne glow softens the silver and adds a warm nuance without making the frame appear gold.

The strength of Carlo lies in the combination of simplicity, balanced proportions and handcrafted details. The 8.5 cm wide wooden frame has enough presence to give the mirror character while remaining refined and elegant. The silver highlights the profiling of the frame, while the delicate champagne glow adds extra depth and warmth.

Every Carlo is traditionally crafted and completely finished by hand by skilled artisans in Italy. The wooden frame is carefully decorated with silver-coloured metal leaf. The thin sheets of metal leaf are applied by hand to the profiling, giving the frame its characteristic silver appearance.

After the silver-coloured metal leaf has been applied, the frame receives a very subtle champagne-toned nuance. This finish is deliberately kept extremely light: the main colour remains unmistakably silver. The champagne glow becomes most noticeable when light falls across the profiling of the frame, giving the silver a slightly warmer and softer appearance.

Particularly beautiful are the carefully finished corners of the frame. After assembly, the corners are finished and coloured so that the usual mitre joints are barely visible. The silver finish therefore continues beautifully around the entire frame, creating a harmonious and seamless appearance.

Because both the silver-coloured metal leaf and the subtle colour nuance are applied by hand, small variations in the surface may occur. These delicate differences make every Carlo Silver unique and emphasise the handcrafted character of the mirror.

Carlo Silver is also available as a made-to-measure mirror. The dimensions can therefore be fully adapted to the available space, from a smaller wall mirror to a generous full-length mirror or a wide horizontal mirror above a piece of furniture or fireplace.

Silver-coloured metal leaf
The wooden mirror frame is traditionally finished by hand with silver-coloured metal leaf. The thin sheets are carefully applied to the profiling and form the basis of the silver colour.

Subtle champagne glow
A very light champagne-toned nuance is applied over the silver. This gives the silver a slightly warmer appearance without taking away its distinctly silver character.

Silver remains the main colour
The champagne glow is deliberately very subtle. The frame appears predominantly silver; depending on the way the light falls, a soft and warm champagne-toned glow becomes visible in certain areas.

Carefully finished frame corners
After assembly, the corners are carefully finished and coloured. This makes the mitre joints barely visible and allows the silver finish to continue beautifully across the entire frame.
